Double Estate Sale

Last week, I came across an ad for an estate sale, the pictures were great the house looked chocked full of vintage stuff! I put it on my calendar of to dos and then came across another ad for another sale in the same city (about an hour away) this sale looked just okay, some vintage stuff and put on by a private party. So I said hey if I'm driving an hour might as well hit both sales. One started at 9 and the other at 10 so it was perfect id blaze through the one and have time to get in line for the second.
Turns out the first one which I thought would be amazing was not all that great. Prices were just okay which I expected from an estate sale company, but the house was obviously owned by a smoker. Walls were yellow all the items were covered in a sludge. And apparently the oven was malfunctioning it was emitting a faint continuous smell of gas. I didn't leave empty handed though!

I left with this lamp, this is the after picture...

This shows the sludge that I was in the process of cleaning off. Just took a little elbow grease and it was good as new!

How awesome is this nightlight?

So after that sale was over I bolted to the next sale. It was in a wealthier side of the city. I walked right up and they let me right in amazingly enough. I knew right when I walked in it was going to be a great sale. The prices were OUTSTANDING! And it was full of vintage QUALITY items, I went overboard and spent a lot more than I had figured.

I bought this beauty, found it covered with hats I don't think anyone noticed it wasn't really a hat stand!

A few smalls, the thermoware was actually from the first dirty sale. I wish I had the before and after from that little guy. He was brown!

A few more smalls I couldn't pass up, the trivets aren't vintage, I just liked the colors and they were matching.

Found a vintage Devon electric food warmer, still in the box, I doubt it has been used it's in immaculate condition, I have been looking for one in the right condition and this one fit the bill. Of course the custom made plastic napkin holder was mine right when I saw it.

How neat.

Again another new in the box never used item! Kind of a cool server!

I bought a lot more but I didn't have time to photograph everything. This estate sale was one of the best I have ever been to. I have it has made it into my top 3, and that says something after my hundreds of estate sales!

Antique Store Run

I had to stop to this antique shop today, and boy I was I disappointed, not only was the theme Shabby Chic, but the prices were insane. No really.... Insane.

A cool Formica drop leaf table

I think that barstool speaks for itself

A lot of Haeger pottery

Faux wood record cabinet and the amazing rotary dial phone.

Pair of Homco owls

Different colored blendo set I've never seen before

Nearly bought this set of Fire King.

I walked out spending $0. Shame shame.

Tupperware day?

Apparently, today was a Tupperware sort of day, because all I found was....

I went to a few thrifts I haven't been to, but will definitely go again because the prices were right!

There was some vintage pyrex, but there was quite a bit of dishwasher damage.

A couple cool bar stools I saw!

Made out with a chip and dipper, and covered veggie tray, and a covered sectioned tray. Great prices couldn't resist!
