Butterworth St. SW Grand Rapids Sale

So I went to an interesting estate sale, it was an old store front on the SW side, lower part of the building was apparently a pet grooming business and upstairs the residence. It was such an old building, but full of mid century just waiting to be discovered. People swooped in fast and bought up the furniture, I saw this Bassett Regency bedroom set in the photos but I didn't think I wanted it until I saw it in person and saw the sold sticker (of course) oh well. I should be content with my two mid century bedroom suits!

Yepp, I bought this Royal Haeger mermaid planter, the price was great and I have honestly never seen anything like it. It's amazing other people swoop in to grab the furniture and I swoop in for pottery.

I saw this covered in dust and thought how often do you see a mint pyrex casserole with a trivet stand and with that design. I'm not a pyrex expert, but I know my pyrex designs, this one was out of the ordinary. Apparently according to Corelle Corner and online resource for collectors of Pyrex/Corning this piece is a promotional piece only released in late 1969 and early 1970.

Other than these items I bought newer stuff that I will end up needing eventually!

Edit: this poor post got lost in the shuffle, I thought it got posted and it didn't :( this was originally a sale September 13th! Oops.

Garage Sale hit and miss (Literally??)

So I went garage saling...

Those finds are apparently meant to be taken home because they survived!! I can't believe it. A few other things were ruined, but nothing from that days garage sales.
