So some time before I created this blog, I had purchased a mid century bedroom set, so I actually wasn't searching for one any longer, until.... Yepp... I was browsing an estate sale pictures and this set stood out to me! It was amazing, it came with the bed (mattress and all) night stands a long dress and a high boy. WOW! So I knew that sale was a must. Got up at 3 am and made it to the sale at 5am to get a number... Darn, the sign up sheet was posted the night prior so people had already come to sign up, luckily my mom and I were numbers 4 and 5! Not too bad but pretty imperative to make it to the item you want fast. The house was AMAZING. A 1950s ranch with a carport.... Yes... A carport. What a cool feature. Atomic light sconces in built into the home, an Eames styled lantern in the 1.5 story front porch peak... It reeked of mid century modern. It's always amazing the people you meet at sales while waiting in line, I met some great people at this one. I ended up spending about the amount I thought was right for the set, and I spent more on vintage tupperware, some pottery, and some vintage linens. Better yet, the second day I came back with the uhaul truck to pick up the furniture I saw that some end tables I had been looking at were still available... A little high priced but they gave me a steal of a deal since I bought the bedroom set.
Enough talking... The photos will speak for themselves. Amazing construction, dove tail drawers, wooden pulls, it's high quality furniture that will last me many many years. Okay seriously though here's the photos.
3 matching Mersman end tables from the same sale.
