You win some you lose some.

Like the title says you win some you lose some, although lately I feel like I have been losing a lot in the mid century department. I have snagged a few great finds. I have always wanted a grandfather clock, and I found one for a great price on craigslist, picked it right up!

Sorry for the bad photo I was frantically photographing a bunch of items at once. I was amazed that it came with the original paperwork and delivery paperwork, it was apparently delivered to the customer in September of '64! Wow!

I did hit up another estate sale, and I guess I did walk out with a couple of good finds...

I've always wanted one of these retractable pull down lamps too, it was in immaculate condition.

And the only other thing I walked away with was this coffee table, the photo truly does not capture the sheer length of this table, it's LONG!, it sort of matches the end tables I bought at a sale last summer, it's the same color and features the formica top. All by the same maker, Mersman. I feel like Mersman gets a bad name because it's so mass produced, but it's truly quality made furniture.

I found a great vintage BetterHomes and Gardena cookbook, that several customers had said I came JUST for that book I saw it in a photo! I felt pretty fortunate to have grabbed it right up. And actually the brass birds were an ebay find, something cool about them that I liked, they will be a great accent on a shelf or something in my first place.

I saw this wonderful credenza for a wonderful price at the local thrift store it was very cool, you one the one side of double doors and it's all open and there's a secret drawer in the top and the other section you open and it has all shelves. This is made by Garrison Furniture, a company I know very little about.

I refrained from buying it, one because my hands are tied, I have nothing to haul with at the moment and two, I have no need for it, I already have one..... Okay I have two but who's counting?

Again... You win some you lose some.
